Heart Rate Sensor
Epticore heart rate sensor adopts the photoplethysmography (PPG) scheme to realize optical monitoring of heart rate. PPG is a method of shining light into the skin and measuring the light scattering due to blood flow. The photocell/array of Epticore’s heart rate products performs sub-spectral processing (R/G/B/W/IR) of reflected light to eliminate the effect of interfering light for heart rate detection/wear detection.
